Developing the Collection of Historical and Contemporary Census Data and Related Materials (CHCC) into a Major Learning and Teaching Resource

User Consultation Workshop 31st January 2002

This workshop will take place exactly one year after the first CHCC consultation workshop. The aim of the workshop is to give participants the opportunity to test out some of the materials that have been developed, during the first year of the project, specifically for the Census Area Statistics (CAS) and the Samples of Anonymised Records (SARs) data. We also want to find out if the materials that are being developed will be useful to teachers and learners, and discover how they could be made more useful. We hope that some participants will be able to pilot the materials in their own teaching programmes and the day will give practical experience of how they can be used. • covered the right topics for the SARs and CAS materials.
• achieved the right format (structure, exercises, delivery formats)
• got the level right for the units developed
